Initially, within a few months,  Dovetail will make FS X available in a digital download only.

Supposedly, sometime in 2015, we will see a new version.

This is going to be a huge risk for Dovetail.  Most younger generation game players don't use a PC but other devices to play their games.  Was told that they are going to try and change this market. Good luck to them!

I think this is a matter of managing expectations. If Dovetail is happy with what they have accomplished with Train Simulator this should work out for them....and us!  It will be interesting to see how it all relates to P3D as well.  This is the most encouraging news in awhile, particularly the aspect about keeping the next genesis FS PC-based.
